Look Doing Latency

Something that I recently learned about is a concept from Fortnite called look-doing latency. It basically refers to the amount of delay between when a player encounters a new scene, and when they have fully processed all the information. This is quite an important concept to Fortnite primarily because of its high dependency on rotations and endgames, forcing players to constantly take in new information (if that made no sense don't worry about it). However, upon further analysis I've started to realize that frankly this concept is everywhere, and can be found in real sports such as table tennis, where a player has to analyze spin and paddle motion in mere milliseconds as the ball comes off the paddle. This concept even appears when traveling, as when encountering new environments, our brains are constantly scanning and processing information.

I find this concept extremely interesting and hope to learn more soon.
